Lessons
I am always excited when I'm teaching. My absolute favorite reaction from a student is when they say, "I didn't know I could do that!" Students are exposed to different musical styles including pop, theatre and classical. What they sing is their choice - I seek to give them the knowledge and tools to make that choice. My job is not to impose an agenda on my students. I want to help them reach their goals. My only agenda is a healthy voice.
Lessons may address:
- vocal health
- sight reading
- how to establish a safe and effective speaking voice
- how to practice
- excercises to free and build the voice
- how to handle performance nerves
- preparing for auditions and presentations
Scheduling is flexible. I understand that schedules change - especially for students who participate in plays, sports teams and other extra-curricular activities. Talk to me about your individual situation, and usually we can work something out.
Pricing is also flexible. Voice lessons are available in sessions of 45 minutes or an hour. Students may receive discounted rates by purchasing lessons in blocks.
1-5 lessons $50 per hour lesson $38 per 45 min lesson
6-12 lessons $48 per hour lesson $36 per 45 min lesson
more than 12 $46 per hour lesson $34 per 45 min lesson

Studio policies are as follows:
- Payment is required at the first lesson. I will not teach a lesson if money is owed.
- Cancellations must be made by phone, with as much advance notice as possible. If less than 24 hours notice is given you may be charged for the lesson.
- I will accomodate your scheduling changes as I am able. I understand that school activities, performances, and sports make these changes necessary from time to time. I also ask for your understanding so that I may particpate in performances from time to time.
- I will make up all lessons I cancel for any reason.
